Qualifications
PhD Biochemistry (Monash), Grad Dip Biostatistics (Monash)

Professional experience
Masha Fridman joined VISES in 2015. She has published in several fields, including epidemiology, agricultural and cancer research. Her previous work included road safety research at Monash University Accident Research Centre (MUARC), evaluation of the Human Papilloma Virus vaccination program at Victorian Cytology Service (VCS), and investigation of cardiac arrest response procedures at Ambulance Victoria.

Dr Fridman has a strong interest in the application of statistical methods in research. Her training includes a Grad Dip (Biostatistics) from Monash University. In 2010-2013, she was responsible for Statistical Consulting at AgriBio, an agricultural research institute, which is part of the Victorian Department of Environment and Primary Industries.

Biostatistics has been a major change in direction, after an earlier career in basic Cancer Research. Dr Fridman completed her PhD in cell signalling at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research, continuing the project at a post-doctoral level at St. Vincent’s Institute for Medical Research in Melbourne.
